Preeclampsia is a pregnancy complication characterized by the onset of hypertension after 20 weeks of gestation and remains one of the leading causes of maternal morbidity and mortality worldwide. Data from Sorong District Hospital indicated an increase in the number of preeclampsia cases in 2025. This study aimed to describe the characteristics of women with preeclampsia who delivered at Sorong District Hospital in 2025. This study employed a descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population consisted of all women with preeclampsia who delivered at Sorong District Hospital in 2025. A total of 93 respondents were included using a total sampling technique. Data were obtained from medical records using a medical record extraction form and were analyzed descriptively using frequency distributions and percentages. The results showed that most respondents were aged 20–35 years, had multiparous status, and 66% had a previous history of preeclampsia. Conclusion: The characteristics of women with preeclampsia at Sorong District Hospital in 2025 were predominantly multiparous women and those with a previous history of preeclampsia. These findings highlight the importance of early detection and optimal antenatal surveillance among pregnant women with these characteristics to reduce the risk of maternal complications.
